Ugh! That background took forever! I liked how it turned out though. Anyway, Journey, go play it.

A simple, but noble idea of wanderer offspring.

The black outlines are a different look, but do not fit with the overall backdrop nor do the two beings themselves look or feel like they fit the scene correctly at all, this is something I feel should have been implemented.

The background is well-presented, and although seems lacking in a manner that was evident in the original design, which of course gave it that truly atmospheric feel of a desert with a story, this still (in my mind) fulfills that notion whenever I see it; the lush, peach-coloured sands shaped out by wind and the memories it carries, like an ocean forged around a forgotten island.

The flurry of clouds embedded at the mountain's foot are fantastic, they are brought out well and give it that deeper, more detailed feel to the ensemble of scattered sunlight that isn't even made present here.

Overall, whilst I feel there is a lot missing from this work (such things as cloth creatures, or vague depictions of the crumbling cityscape that was engulfed by the sands), I also get a warm essence brimming within from simply the effort that went into making a piece like this. Tiny wanderer of the sands or not~ (=>,<<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="=)" title="=) (Smile)"/>

Another small thing I imagined that would be a lovely input is to have the 2 beings as they are center-illustrated still, but also frolicking in the background amongst the sands and the curious creatures that accomodate it. I'll leave the impact of that thought itself for you to indulge in; great work!
